SWISS // Diamond League Zürich


Swiss Airlines is a main sponsors for the Zürich leg of The Diamond League Athletics Tournament. They wanted to create both ambient and social awareness around the event and their sponsorship.


Swiss Airlines  brings passion into everything they do, both in the air and on the ground, to keep people travelling in comfort and efficiency. With their sponsorship of the Zürich Diamond League event the same passion applies. 


What better way than to push this message home than showing Swiss staff acting out events in normal, daily working routine with athletic exuberance. Highlighting both the natural fit between the two brands but also the message that Swiss Airlines and their staff truly live the brand, in everything they do. With the same passion and dedication that a world class athlete embodies. 


We decided to shoot two different online commercials, pushing the concept Weltklasse im Loft, Weltlkasse im Boden. Both showed a real Swiss staff-member (no actors allowed) and top Swiss Athletes in two different situations, located in the Zürich Airport.

One film shows a friendly challenge between a Swiss stewardess and top Swiss Olympic sprinter, Mujinga Kambundji. The Swiss stewardess felt she had a slight advantage being on a moving walkway. The second film shows a passionate pilot helping Swiss Olympic hurdler, Karreim Hussein, to not miss his flight. Both films were widely received on Swiss Intl. Airlines social media channels and lots of awareness through the film and via user generated content was created with #hoppSWISS prior and during the event.
